Person-Centred Counselling is a modality whereby you, as the client, are at the centre of our work. You have control over what you wish to explore in each session and where the session goes. My role is to support you without judgement, in a therapeutic relationship built on mutual trust, authenticity and curiosity, and enable you to find your own way towards realising your counselling goals. 


it is more of a body-based modality, whereby certain micro-movements and bodily sensations can be explored further, to open up a deeper understanding of what is going on subconsciously and how it is influencing you. It is a wholistic aproach to therapy.


Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is used most often by the NHS. It is a modality that explores the way we think in order to change an undesired behaviour, or conversly it can be used to study our behavious and introduce change, in order to influence and change the way we think about something. Whilst it has its rightful place in counselling, it only forms a small part of the work I do with my clients, if it's appropriate.


Not unless you choose to at the time. You are in control of what you feel safe to share and work through. I do not take clients back to their traumatic event, I work in the here and now, and some of the ways I work do not need you to use any words out loud at all, see Guided Drawing .

A typical counselling session with me lasts for 1 hour, although some sessions may be  shorter or longer, depending on your needs and preferences.


My style of counselling  can help with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, various types of grief and loss, trauma, and more.
